Support our commitment to introducing High Technology Education to our marginalized communities!
We are extremely grateful for the support we get from empowering technology providers, the public, and workforce development entities as we collectively strive to ignite laser professional and entrepreneurial careers. You too can be a part of this coalition by giving a hand in helping the marginalized populations achieve prosperity in the new laser-enabled advanced manufacturing economy. Through the Basic Laser Technology: Fundamentals and Performance Specifications course, (sold out at SPIE's Photonics West 2023 conference) anyone can become Laser Literate!
We also bring together laser tech job candidates and recruiters from leading laser companies in Silicon Valley and beyond. The candidates include tenured incumbents, and college/university graduates and students seeking internship or full-time employment opportunities.

Major Laser Manufacturing Companies are in high demand for workers. They are pulling directly from the San Jose Laser Program. Being that there is also a shortage of women in the high tech labor force, this program equips women to take a course, and gain a significant economic stronghold for their families.

Every year, Photonics West converges upon the Bay Area, hosting Photonics Companies from around the world. Not only does Dr. Sukuta teach at these conferences, Basic Laser Technology, he makes it a part of his curriculums to expose his students to this male dominated environment. If you'll take a close look, there are very few women, and even less women of color.
